" Holiday of a lifetime "

Have recently returned from the above holiday and thought we should give you some feedback.

When we arrived in Shanghai I was surprised and and concerned that there were only ourselves and one other couple on the holiday, we were expecting a tour manager. However our apprehension was soon displelled by the excellent guide, Kyle. From the moment we were met by Kyle until we left Beijing to travel to Hong Kong everything worked perfectly, taken to the security check in by the local guide at one airport and met at arrivals at the next by another local guide, brilliant. Having a people carrier for transport with only 4 plus the guide what a way to travel.

The local guides were very good but two in particular deserve a special mention. Ger who looked after us in Guilin and Yangshuo and Tina who looked after us in Beijing. In the short time we were with them we became like old friends and I am sure that they far exceeded what they were expected to do (Tina even got us an upgrade to executive suite at the Oriental Bay).

The hotels were of a very good standard except The Tulip in Yangshou. This did not spoil the stay in Yangshou as the position was excellent. The arrangements in Hong Kong could have been better four people plus luggage does not fit very well in a saloon car, would have been better to use the hotel bus service.

The above two comments are meant as constructive.

I can only thank you for providing what was to all of us a "holiday of a lifetime" the memories will live with Julia and I forever. Thank you.
