Voyage of China 11 Days

Day 1: Beijing
Arrival Beijing airport. Greeted by our guide and chauffeur to hotel.

Day 2: Beijing (B,L,D)
Morning visit Temple of Heaven. After lunch continue onto Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. There is an option to climb up to the hill of imperial Jingshan Park for a bird's eye view over the golden rooftop of the Forbidden City.
This evening, enjoy a sumptuous Peking Duck Banquet Dinner in a beautiful courtyard restaurant. (or fusion vegetarian cuisine for vegetarian guests)

Day 3: Beijing (B,L)
Journey out to the Great Wall at Mutianyu Section (less touristy & quieter section). Afternoon on the way back, stop by a Jade Carving Workshop. Evening at leisure or optional Martial Arts performance.

Day 4: Beijing - Xian (B,L,D)
After a relaxed breakfast, visit Summer Palace and a boat ride on the Kunming Lake. On the way, drive past the 2008 Beijing Olympic Stadium and stop for some photo opportunities.
Afternoon fly to Xian where you stay for 2 nights. This evening we have prepared a Dumpling Banquet in a traditional restaurant.

Day 5: Xian (B,L)
Your morning beings with a leisure walk along the Ancient City Walls & its South Gate. Continue onto the UNSECO World Heritage Sites of Terracotta Warriors. Lunch will be of a local speciality "hand-pulled noodles". View the production of Terracotta figurines in a local workshop.

Day 6: Xian - Chongqing (B,L,D)
Fly to Chongqing where you will be escorted to see the giant pandas at the Panda House. Time allows, there is a tour of the local market before a local special hot pot dinner. Transfer to board your cruiser for 3 nights river voyage on the Yangtze River.

Day 7: Yangtze River Cruising (B,L,D)
Sail through the mightly Yangtze River. All meals & shore excursions included.

Day 8: Yangtze River Cruising (B,L,D)
Continue sail through the mightly Yangtze River. All meals & shore excursions included.

Day 9: Yichang - Shanghai (B,L)
Mid-day disembark cruise in Yichang. Transfer to the airport for flight to Shanghai. Chauffeur to hotel and enjoy rest of evening at leisure.

Day 10: Shanghai (B,L)
City orientation tour pointing out highlights such as The Bund, Yuyuan Garden & Bazaar, the Old Pier, and Pudong District. There is an optional Shanghai Acrobatics Show in the evening.

Day 11: Shanghai (B)
After breakfast chauffeur to the airport for your connecting flight home or onward destination. Or perhaps add an extension to the nearby Suzhou or simply extend your stay in Shanghai to do some shopping?
